Manna on Main Street in Lansdale has a (deceptively) simple mission…
“that everyone might be fed.”
Simple perhaps… Vital? YES!
Manna on Main Street is committed to ending hunger in the North Penn region by providing food, fulfilling social service and education needs, and conducting community outreach.
The need is especially acute in the summer months when children are home from school. During the school year, these children are entitled to free or reduced cost meals at their school but during the months of July and August, they are home, eating with their family. Families that qualify for this program are allowed to shop the food pantry 3 times per summer month rather than the usual two.
YOU can help! Impact Thrift Store in Montgomeryville is holding a Community Food Drive from July 7 through 18. You are invited to drop off non-perishable food items such as canned fruit, canned meat/fish, dry cereal and peanut butter to help replenish Manna’s bare shelves and help support our community. Each donation will be rewarded with a 15% off coupon to Impact Thrift Stores (one coupon per household per day).
So please be generous with your food donations!
