What STUFF you might ask?
You know, that unwanted stuff that you’ve moved to a closet or the basement to make room for the stuff you really like and the new gifts you’ve received. The stuff (a.k.a. gifts) from previous Christmases and birthdays that never quite fit you or your lifestyle. The medium shirt from Grandma… when you actually wear size XL! The dressy dress that would have been perfect for your prom… 10 years ago! The ergonomic desk and chair that mom thought would help your aching back (she had good intentions!) The analog electronics that just don’t fit your digital world… or that The Mickey Mouse clock radio! Really?? That type of stuff! Why donate to Impact Thrift Stores?
We Need YOU! Our stores are stocked with donated merchandise and your donations are essential to our success. Not only do we employ over 240 in our 4 stores and Donation Processing Center, net proceeds from our stores also help financially support 16 locally-based charities in the Philadelphia area! Those charities focus on the needs of families and children in crisis mostly right here in our region. Click here to learn more about our supported charities.
We’re GREEN! The items you donate will be either sold in our stores or responsibly recycled whenever possible! Ever wonder about that kid on tv from a third world country wearing an Eagles t-shirt? Click here to learn more about our recycling initiatives.
We make it easy! Simply drop off your items at the back door of any of our 4 stores during scheduled hours: Monday through Saturday from 8:30 am to 7 pm (Hatboro till 5pm on Saturday). Our staff will help you unload your car and hand you a receipt. Another option is to call 215.957.6131 to schedule a pickup of furniture or larger items. With any luck, you will be able to schedule before December 31… or you’re welcome to drop those larger items at our stores as well!
We’re Charitable! Since 2003, Impact Thrift Stores has donated over $2 million to locally-based charities who focus on the needs of families and children in crisis. As a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and we do provide you with a receipt in exchange for your donation. Any donation made by December 31 can be claimed as a deduction from your 2014 federal income tax.
